How it all started
- Sunsilk made its first appearance in the Netherlands in 1954, launched as a liquid shampoo – a welcome departure from powdered sachets.
- From 1970 to 1977, it was the first major brand to include natural ingredients such as olive oil, wild thyme, coconut and wild poppy.
- In 2003, Sunsilk launched a new range containing unique ingredients - combining the best of the natural and scientific worlds to help combat most hair problems. Included in the range were Sunsilk Anti-frizz Aloe Serum and the One Minute Daily Repair.
- Recent innovations include Sunsilk Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner, Sunsilk Anti-Flat Shampoo, Weightless Volumising Cream and the Daily Wear & Tear Day Care cream.
