The first ever product to have come out of the then Lever Bothers Factory in 1963 is Key Soap. Before then the product had gained popularity with the Ghanaian consumer from the days when United Africa Company was importing Key Soap (both the carbolic & pale variants) from Port Sunlight in the UK.

For almost half a century, the multi-purpose Key soap has not only stuck a bond with it s users but has given comfort to consumers, especially home makers.

Key soap has offered freshness wherever it has been used. It has cleaned many clothes, washed many dishes, kept many floors clean and hygienic since the 1950s and continues to do other chores in many homes and institutions.

A true dependable partner, Key soap has been passed on from generation to generation. No wonder the name “Key” opens doors and has remained a generic name with Ghanaian consumers.
